FAQ, THE LOWDOWN, ETC

COLIN’s are intentionally made in small, considered runs — which means all sales are final. We advocate for considered, thoughtful, deliberate, selective investment, rather than impulsive purchasing. We don’t offer refunds, but we do offer size exchanges.

SHIPPING

For international punks: We are based in Meanjin / Brisbane, Australia, and all international orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or fees charged by your country’s customs office when your order arrives. These charges are not included in our prices or shipping fees. We recommend you check your local customs website for information and guidance before placing your order. If your parcel bounces back to us because you choose not to pay duties and taxes once your order has been dispatched; have given an incorrect shipping address; don’t collect your parcel; or it does not clear customs, we unfortunately cannot refund you. We encourage customers to carefully check their shipping details at checkout and to monitor tracking updates, particularly for international orders that may require customs payments.

Once an order has been dispatched and is in the possession of the shipping carrier, COLIN is no longer liable for any lost, stolen, delayed, or misdelivered parcels. Ownership and risk in the goods pass to the customer upon dispatch. We’ll try our best to help you if any problems present, however customers are responsible for contacting the shipping provider for delivery related issues. COLIN can’t do this for you. We can’t refund lost or stolen packages, so please make sure your delivery address is correct and secure. If you try and scam us you are a dog and we will sniff you out god willing.

Delivery times commence once the carrier picks up the order. Our ambition is to meet these timeframes; however, we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates due to carrier and location variations. 

SIZE EXCHANGES

Size exchanges are accepted within 5 days of receiving your order on full price COLIN’s only if the item is in original condition - unworn, undamaged, unwashed, unaltered, and carefully packaged. Returned tees must be folded neatly and placed back into their protective Ecomailer.

Size exchange requests made outside of this 5-day window will not be accepted. 

A valid order number must be provided as proof of purchase.

Please contact us at info@colinisabrand.com.au before sending your COLIN back for size exchange. 

Customer pays return shipping fees. You’ll be invoiced for shipping costs to send it back to you with your new size.

 If the size you need is sold out, we won’t be able to accommodate the exchange.

Tees purchased during promotional sale events are final sale and are ineligible for size exchange.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

International size exchanges are accepted, but all shipping + customs fees are the customer’s responsibility. Please note that transit times may be longer, and swaps are processed once your return arrives at our Brisbane studio.

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY TEE

COLIN is a compact but killer basement studio run by one chika (me, Breah). Orders ship twice a week on Mondays + Thursdays. Orders placed before 12pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on those days may ship the same day.

AusPost Standard within Australia Shipping:

3-7 business days

AusPost Express within Australia Shipping:

1-5 business days 

AusPost International Shipping:

5-10 business days

During busy periods, holidays, sales, or new drops, processing times may be slightly longer — thank you for your patience while I prepare each order for you with attention and care.

Please give me at least one week before checking in with your order.

CURRENCY, TAXES & DUTY

Australia

For Australian customers, prices include GST.

International Customers

Your order may be subject to import duties, tariffs, taxes, or fees charged by your country’s customs office on arrival. These costs are not included in our prices and must be paid directly to your local customs authority. If your package is returned to us because those fees weren’t paid, no refund will be issued. As a super small business, we’re unable to absorb the costs associated with re-processing Return to Sender parcels.

Please make sure the email on your order is correct, so the carrier can notify you if import taxes are required before delivery.

USA

Tariff fees and charges will be calculated and charged at check out. 

CHECK YOUR ADDY

If your order comes back to us because of an invalid or incomplete address, we’ll contact you to check if you want it re-shipped to the correct address. If so, we’ll invoice you for re-shipping (taxes/tariffs may also be applicable).

Shipping charges are never refunded (that money is used to buy the original label).

If you realise you entered an incorrect address, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order so we can try to correct it before shipping. Once an order has shipped, we cannot make changes.

MAIL SHENANIGANS

If your package goes missing in transit, please reach out to the carrier (AusPost) to open a claim — they’re the only ones who can help track or reimburse.

DAMAGED TEES

In the unlikely event that your Colin arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos so we can review your case. We will do our best to find a solution for you. Claims made outside this timeframe may not be eligible for review.

CARE & COMMITMENT

I urge you to resist disposability and instead care for your clothes. On average, a garment is worn only 7 times before it is discarded. We want you to value your tee as a lifelong addition to your wardrobe and commit to a long-term relationship with your Colin, and that includes investing in care and repair. In an industry fuelled by overproduction and disposability, taking time to care and preserve your Colin is an act of resistance. It is a cotton tee designed to soften over time, and we encourage you to embrace preventative care to preserve and ensure the longevity and durability of your tee for years to come. You’ve committed to a long-term relationship with Colin which is maintained through consistent care and embracing the lived-in character of your tee over time. We are anti hyper consumption. Landfill and fashion waste colonialism, where we export our overconsumption to the global south countries, are shameful symptoms of an industry in crisis that intentionally mass overproduces, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and undermining climate targets. Our focus is on value not volume. As an additional big bonus, when you stay well away from fast fashion brands, you’re not contributing to lining the pockets of billionaires.  

Colin’s are made from 100% cotton. We want your tee to last, so like anything, so you need to show it love. Cotton is breathable and softens over time.

Cold hand wash your tee with delicate eco-friendly detergent. Don’t wring or twist.

After washing, place your wet Colin on a towel, roll it up, and gently press to remove excess water. Lay your COLIN flat to dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry.

COLIN designs are screen-printed with eco-friendly water-based ink that soaks into the fabric over time and produces a soft-hand feel that is breathable.

To smooth natural creases in your COLIN, iron on low heat inside out. Avoid steaming and direct contact to prevent melting or sticking.

For stains, consult your local dry cleaner.

MAKING A COLIN

These babies are designed by me, and lovingly hand crafted by a remarkable team in Bali, Indonesia. I chose this location for this first run of tees not only for its high skill set, quality, and careful attention to detail, but also for their transparency, sustainability, and ethical practices including fair wages, and a safe, healthy, aesthetically pleasing work environment where their skilled professionals are valued and respected. We collaborated with a family run business established 20+ years ago, that is run by homegirl Wilda. I work closely with the production team, and they share the excitement about creating tees in very small runs. Colins are made from 100% cotton and screen printed with water based eco-friendly ink. All designs are drawn by me, inspired by rockabilly punks, vintage pins, Johnny Knoxville and my friends :) 

ECO PACKAGING

COLIN packaging reflects our commitment to reducing environmental impact. Our tissue paper, post cards, and stickers are recyclable and eco-friendly. For shipping, we use 100% home compostable ecomailers that decompose naturally, and the whole process is finished within six months instead of the 300+ years it takes for traditional plastic mailers. We wouldn’t ever consider using anything but fully biodegradable packaging, breaking down without any harmful micro-plastics or residues.
